TMA is pleased to announce the recent donation of more than $10,000 worth of tooling equipment from BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling, inc. “We recognize the importance filling the manufacturing pipeline with skilled labor, and have proudly chosen to support the TMA Education Foundation in any way we can due to their shared commitment and enthusiasm in their program,” stated Tim Stapula, Marketing Manager for BIG Kaiser.
“This generous donation of tooling equipment from BIG Kaiser is a huge benefit to our training program,” said Patrick Osborne, TMA Education Director. “These tools are an incredible addition to our Fred W. Buhrke training center and will be used to allow hundreds of students to receive hands on training.”
The TMA Education Foundation was launched In 1987 under the vision to increase awareness of manufacturing careers in high schools, promote manufacturing careers, and encourage manufacturing technology training. The TMA Board of Directors created this 501 (c) 3 fund-raising Education Foundation to promote a new age in manufacturing and respond to the need for motivated, innovative, intelligent young people to train for tomorrow’s careers; and the need for improved training facilities and programs in the Chicago area.
Since its founding the TMA Education Foundation has donated over $950,000.00 in machinery, software, equipment, awards, competitions, instructors, research, credentialing and scholarships.
